イギリス英語では --our で終わる単語がアメリカ英語では --or で終る例がいくつかあります。

文章を書く場合、アメリカ英語またはイギリス英語で統一することが大切で、このような単語をアメリカ流のスペルとイギリス流のスペルとで混在させた上のような文章は読む側に違和感を与えるので、極力避けましょう
イギリス英語とアメリカ英語の違いとは
全般的に言って、アメリカ英語のほうが簡略化されている傾向が強いでしょう。
アメリカ英語「Have」vs イギリス英語「Have got」
「持っている」「所有している」という意味での have は、have got と言い換えることもできます。たとえば、
He has a new car = He's got a new car.
（彼は新車を持っている）
Do you have a POKEMON card? = Have you got a POKEMON card?
（ポケモンカードを持ってる？）
この表現、アメリカでもイギリスでも使えますが、どちらかというと、イギリスは have got 派、アメリカは have 派といえるでしょう。
Alreadyの使い方……イギリス英語とアメリカ英語の違い
「その雑誌はもう買ったよ」
というとき、already を使って
I've already bought the magazine.
という現在完了で書くのは、アメリカでもイギリスでも、正しい英語。しかしアメリカではさらに、
I already bought the magazine.
というように、過去形でも already を使って、現在完了と同じ意味を表現することができます。現在完了を使わなくて済むぶん、これはとても便利な表現ですね。同じように、現在完了で使うことの多い just や yet なども、アメリカでは過去形で用いることで現在完了と同じ意味を表すことができます。
I have just arrived from Chicago. = I just arrive from Chicago.
（シカゴから着いたばかりだ）
I haven't understand the theory yet. = I don't understand the theory yet.
（その理論がまだ理解できない）
イギリス英語とアメリカ英語の単語の違い
同じ意味の単語でも、アメリカとイギリスではスペルが異なるケースが多くあります。以下にリストアップしたのは、その一部。よく見ていると、その違いに規則性があることにも気づきますね。
