--You also released the mini album "Fashion Impression Function" containing "Tenisu No Boifurendo (Kodomo Remix)" in 2001. I guess "Kodomo" came from the remixer name of Chris Child. Who is he?

Duke: He is a good friend of the band who has done several remixes for us. He shares with us his wacky love of all things Japanese and has lived there and speaks Japanese well! He goes by the remixer name of "Kodomo"

Sean: A genius remixer from Boston...a friend and compatriot...He is like a wacked out beaver on skittles with a key to many libraries...We love it all.

--In the remix album "Hi-Five My Remix" in 2003, there are quite a few amusing remixes by Chris Child, Chris Ewen (Future Bible Heroes, ex-Figures On The Beach), Soviet, Livesexact, etc. I especially like "Super-sprode (Future Bible Heroes Remix)". How did you connect with Chris Ewen? Is there any scene in Boston?

Sean: Chris is a good friend of ours, mine in particular. I have occasionally done tech work for Magnetic Fields, the other group with Stephin and Claudia from Future Bible Heroes...What is it they say about Magnetic Fields? Magnetic Fields: sci-fi google time, ski team wonder-nuts? YES!

Liz: Chris also DJs at the local Goth/Electro/80s club where we go dance on occasion. Does that count as a "scene"? Other than that, the local music scene is very ROCK. We're one of the few bands doing anything Electronic.

--I also love your animated promotion videos - "Freezepop Forever" and "Steakout". Do you produce them all by yourselves? I showed them to teenagers and they said "Cute!".

Sean: "Steakout" is my favorite of all of our songs...Don't you just want to tickle Liz with a hare-style dusting agent when you see this video-treatment? I know you are.

Liz: Don't listen to Sean. Yes, thank you, I made the videos myself. I'm actually a graphic designer who joined a band because it seemed like a fun thing to do.

--Freezepop are also in several compilations. Larry Tee's compilation "Electroclash Vol. 2" contains Frenchy Techno Pop track "Parlez-vous Freezepop". While Freezepop started much before the Electroclash movement started, how did you get involved with the scene of Electroclash? How do you view the scene while some call it's hype?

Sean: Frenchy Techno Pop is where is it at. Larry is nice and lets us wear our ice skates and cute light-blue skating outfits. Electroclash will continue to evolve until no persons can bring hats or glasses to a nightclub without wearing one or more Electroclash shirts or cowls. The speakers are the loudest. YESSS!

Liz: Sean is confused, we actually wore tennis outfits to play at Larry's night. I don't really know how much we fit in with the whole Electroclash thing, since we are a lot more poppy than most of the other bands. But Larry's been very supportive, and it's been great exposure for us. Basically, if it gets people to give our music a try, then we're not complaining.
