Non-Japanese Chiptune
Covox in Live! |
Sweden has a very strong Chiptune scene, much because music-capable home computers were very common in the 80's. There are more artists in Japan, but Sweden has good clubs for this music and a long history of Chiptune. Europe is also very big, with regular festivals booking Chiptune artists and a lot of events all over Germany, France, Belgium and Holland.
--What is your favorite old Chiptune?
There is a composer who did Commodore 64 music named Rob Hubbard. I like his game music the most, with very strong basslines and melodies. My favourite songs are from the games "Commando", "Crazy Comets" and "ACE II". The cover of "Delete The Elite" is actually a tribute to the title image of "ACE II"!
Message To Japanese
--Is this your first interviews in Japanese media? I hope more Japanese know about your works and enjoy them? If you have some message to Japanese people, could you tell me?This my first interview in Japanese media! I hope it will make more people discover my music and enjoy it, and perhaps be inspired themselves. The message I would have to the Japanese people is what I want to say to everyone; live, create and be happy!
